Our producers take a share of royalties on the songs they help bring to life. The exact split depends on how involved they are — whether it’s light touch or deep collaboration (ranges we’ve used 5% - 49%). Since there’s no one-size-fits-all rule in the industry, we prefer to keep things flexible (and fair). Sometimes we’ll also use royalties to pay session musicians or to help offset upfront costs, especially for indie artists working on a budget.
